(fig 3)

The NAVALOCK MKII-BL is removed by inserting the key into the Locking Unit (Fig.3 - #6) and turning it 90º (a quarter turn) clockwise and removing the Locking Pin (Fig.3 - #7) from the Locking Bar (Fig.3 - #3). The remaining parts are removed in reverse order of the installation instructions.

Should it happen that the keys were lost or the lock must be opened in an emergency, the recommended procedure is cutting of the Locking Bar (Fig.3 - #3) which is preferably done by a hand-held power-driven disc. This kind of tool is widely available worldwide and the cutting can be done at the container terminal or the receiver’s warehouse.

CAUTION! Although the cutting and removal of the NAVALOCK MKII-BL from the container doors is a simple task, it must be carried out only by a professional and experienced worker, using a shielded power driven disc cutter. To prevent severe injuries, protective clothing and guards for body and eyes must be worn while cutting and removing the lock. Standby personnel must maintain a safe distance until the NAVALOCK MKII-BL is cut and removed.
